I am a nut for T-shirts, and I have been dying to get some Candy Addict Tees printed up (mainly because I want one) so I’m finally going to do it. Problem is, I don’t have a design! So, let’s see if some reader (or friend of a reader) can come up with a great design for a Candy Addict tee!

I do NOT want a tee with just “Candy Addict” or candyaddict.com or “I’m a Candy Addict” on it (though I would like candyaddict.com on it somewhere small). I want it to be a shirt people would like whether or not they have ever visited Candy Addict. I want mass appeal. Here is an example of the type of shirt I like. I also saw a shirt that George Duran from “Ham on the Street” was wearing in the candy episode that I liked. It was an orangish-brownish shirt with a big multi-colored lollipop on the front. Plain and simple but classy.

I don’t want the design on a white or a black shirt. I’m thinking muted orange or light blue or something but I’m not set on that. I want a color and design that would appeal to both guys and gals. Also remember to keep the colors of the design to a minimum – more colors means more money to print the shirts. Let’s try and keep it to 4 colors maximum and remember you can creatively use the color of the shirt in the design. Please do not use any copyrighted candy, slogans, or images on the shirt. That means no Hershey’s Kisses shapes, or “Snickers Satisfies” on it. I don’t want to get in trouble with the candy companies. The design could be just text (a catchy/funny candy slogan), text and graphics, or just graphics.

So, if anyone has design skillz, send me a design! If I pick your design, you will get a permanent link on the t-shirt’s sale page that links to your homepage, design website, or whatever you want and you will get credit on the sale page as the designer of the shirt. You will get five of the shirts for free, and I’ll send you a bunch of candy within six months (I’ll squirrel away extras that I get).

For those that don’t have design skillz, but might want to buy one, let me know in the comments if you might be interested, and if so, what colors you recommend for the shirt, and what size you would want if you bought one (so I can get an idea of what sizes to order). Keep in mind, I will sell these shirts CHEAP. I don’t want to make much/any money on them, I really just want a few for myself. My goal is to sell these for less than $10 each but they will be done on good quality tees. You should be able to get one for less than $15 shipped. I’ll probably do an initial run of 50 shirts but if these sell well, I may do another batch at a slightly higher price. Maybe.

If I can’t find anyone with a good design idea, I may just hit up my sister (she does most of the graphics on the site) and see if she can come up with something.

Be sure and check out this extensive collection of candy-themed t-shirts. You can find Wonka tees with Nerds, Runts, or Laffy Taffy; classic candy like Butterfinger, Crunch, and Goobers; lots of Dubble Bubble clothing, and even “lesser” candies like Chupa Chups, Razzles, Bit-O-Honey, Fun Dip, and Wax Lips. Some of their shirts are really awesome!

I was recently browsing 80stees.com when I came across the Grape Scratch and Sniff PEZ T-Shirt. A scratch and sniff shirt? How cool is that! It’s candy, it’s grape-y, it’s retro, it’s everything you could ever want! I was seriously tempted to buy until I read the description and realized that after about five washings the scratch and sniff goodness wears out. Bummer. I mean, I can rewear with the best of them, but after so many run-ins with baby puke and toddler mucus it’s going to have to go in the wash.

Plus, it occurred to me that the exact location of the logo might present problems – “Hey, my shirt is scratch and sniff! Sniff me right there!” Not good. I’m just thankful the thought came to me before I bought it and tested it out. Still, a guy secure in his masculinity might enjoy it… and probably won’t have to worry about that whole washing conundrum either!

80stees.com actually has quite a few cool candy-themed tees (mostly for the ladies) like Tootsie Roll, Fun Dip, Bubblicious, more PEZ shirts, Chupa Chups, Dubble Bubble, and Blow Pop.

Hey, want a free Butterfinger t-shirt (and who wouldn’t)? I just saw over at HeyItsFree that you can signup to get a Butterfinger Activation Kit that includes a Butterfinger T-shirt and some miscellaneous other Butterfinger paraphernalia. I’m not saying to lie on the forms, but if at first you don’t succeed … try, try again. I was “accepted” on my second try.

We mentioned PEZheads – The Movie (a PEZ documentary movie) previously, and now they’ve opened up pre-orders for the DVD, set to ship in September.

PEZheads – The Movie is a documentary about PEZ and PEZ Collectors. It explores the phenomenon of PEZ collecting through interviews with a variety of collectors and vendors, as well as visits to conventions, the PEZ factory, flea markets, and anywhere else we can find PEZ.

This documentary highlights the fun and quirky aspects of the hobby, as well as the community and the friendships that develop around it. It explores the PEZ phenomonon from the viewpoint of non-collectors and collectors alike, as well as collectors’ families and friends.

This movie is for the PEZhead in all of us. So whether you’ve never purchased a PEZ dispenser in your life, or your house is full of PEZ, you will be fascinated by the people and places you’ll encounter in this documentary.

To be honest though, I am more excited about their new PEZ stem t-shirt (seen above). Wear it and your head becomes the head on a PEZ dispenser (from the front and back). Pure genius! I’d love to see a picture of someone wearing it. They also have two other unique PEZ t-shirts that are both on sale – one is $10 and one is $12. They are nicely done too, but I think I’d spend a few bucks more and get the PEZ stem shirt, personally.
