Even though I ate this Butterfinger Crisp about a month ago, I kept the wrapper for article writing purposes. Now I find myself sitting here, sniffing the wrapper and desperately wishing it still had some candy inside. It’s a 180 turn around for me, because when I got it I wasn’t really all that excited about it. I’m just not a die-hard Butterfinger fan – while I like the texture and flavor, I find the whole thing just a bit too sweet.
This bar is a huge improvement on the original. It still has the delicate flakiness of a Butterfinger bar, but it’s sandwiched between several layers of plain wafers, and then the entire thing is covered with chocolate. It’s the love child of a giant Kit Kat and a classic Butterfinger, only way better.
The addition of the wafers makes the whole bar easier on the eater. It weighs less, is texturally lighter in your mouth, and the taste is much more delicate, too. This is not “light” as in eat-10-and-not-gain-weight, it’s light as in a bar which is a much nicer eating experience all around… strangely, it has even more fat than the original. Best we not think about that as we eat them!
I snarfed this thing in about ten seconds flat, whereas a normal Butterfinger would take me a while to eat and require a glass or two of cold milk to wash it down. This is a Butterfinger which you can enjoy on the run and which doesn’t require an appointment with the dentist. Absolutely delicious!

I love-love-LOVE Butterfinger Crisp! I’ve also tried the Crunch Crisp, but like the Butterfinger kind way better.
Butterfinger Crisps are probably my favorite candy bar ever. I have to be careful after holidays, it’s too easy to bring too many of the minis home in the half-price sales.
Its funny how I also wasnt fussed at all by the Butterfinger but reall quite enjoyed the Butterfinger Crisp….must be all the Wafer goodness :) It reminds me quite a bit of the Kit Kat Chunky Peanut Butter!

I don´t really like Butterfinger, never really care about it, but when the crisp came out I was curious and bought one and is really good, way better than the original version, it´s not my favorite (that would be peanut M&M and Ritter Sports)but it´s something I would give a second chance.
Hmmm — I’ve shyed away from these for no particular reason. I’ll have to give them a shot. Kit Kats are a favorite of mine, so anything that resembles that is OK in my book.
I’m not sure if you have them there, but there are actual giant Kit Kats in Ireland and in the UK called KitKat Chunky. VERY nice indeed. Never tasted a Butterfinger cos we don’t have them here :(
I’ve never seen this, heck I haven’t even ever had the regular Butterfinger bar before (though I will soon), only thing I know about these is that The Simpsons used to advertise them with little shorts, back when it was actually ya know, half good.
OK..took your word for it, and went out and bought a Butterfinger Crispy. And you were right!! These are sooooooo good. No more regular butterfinger for me..this is one of my most favored things now. Yummmm, very enjoyable. oh, and I ate the whole thing too.
My partner is not a big sweets fan, but she LOVES the Butterfinger crisp! I love them too, and my favorite is the Kit Kat bar! Thanks for this great review!!!

When i first tried them, i tried the “not-so-fun”-size version. It was one bite of pure butterfinger bliss. I only wish there were more…
