Stewie and the Candy Dish

Stewie Griffin and I don’t have very much in common. I’m not interested in world domination, I don’t have a major issue with broccoli, and my mom and I get along just fine. We do, however, share one common opinion: there is nothing worse than an ill-kept candy dish.

In this clip, Stewie visits his grandparents, who seem to have forgotten why they set their candy dish out in the first place. There are no delicious treats inside… unless you’re a big fan of Freedent and cough drops. Luckily, Stewie’s reactions make the lameness of a gross candy dish funny enough to handle.

What’s in your candy dish right now? If there are car keys, look out. Stewie Griffin does not approve, and you really don’t want to get on his bad side.

  1. Loved this clip! Sooo funny and reminiscent of some of my old aunties candy dishes!! I have several candy dishes in my house right now…leftover starlight mints and hard candies from Christmas. I will be heading to the store later to restock with some fresh goodies!

  2. I think it’s great and kind of unsanitary in some situations to have candy dishes.

I mean people come over and dip their hand into your candy dish. You don’t know where their hands have been.

I love how my boyfriend’s mom has candy dishes, but they are of kisses and wrapped candy. I think this is a great thing to follow. If your going to do a candy dish do it right. Wrapped candy! Or if you know no one else will be dipping their hands in but family, you can have unwrapped, but have a lid for these dishes.
