On October 2, 2007 Candy Addict will be two years old. My how far we’ve come. To celebrate, instead of you giving us gifts, we are giving you gifts – candy gifts! We have a bunch of great, new candy from the All Candy Expo to give away like: Tung Toos, Beanboozled jellybeans, Wonka candy, Dove chocolates, Güd Füd marshmallows, Chewy Lemonheads and Chewy Atomic Fireballs, and much, much more! Some of it hasn’t even hit stores yet!

This contest/giveaway is open to anyone on Earth over 18 years of age (though I’ll probably be kicking myself when the cost to ship overseas costs me $100).
Sound great? Ready to enter? First thing – you can only win if you are a registered Candy Addict. If you’re not already, go register now. There will be four prize packs given out. Each will have less candy/prizes in it than the previous (but even the 4th winner will get a lot of candy). I can’t tell you exactly what each prize pack will contain since I haven’t received all the candy in the mail yet.
We have not one, not two, but three ways for you to win:
Candy Treasure Hunt: The winner will get the largest prize pack. To win the first prize you will participate in an online candy treasure hunt. The treasure hunt will begin at 12:01 AM EST on October 1 and will end at 12 midnight EST on October 2 – so you get 48 hours to complete it. There will be a separate post here to kick things off and it will tell you where to begin the hunt and what to do to win. One entry per person. One winner from all correct entries will be chosen as the winner. All other correct entries will be entered to win the 3rd and 4th prize.
LOLCandy: You’ve heard of LOLCats, right? (No? [definition] [examples]) For this one, take the idea of LOLCats and apply it to candy. Find/take a picture and add a caption to it in the style of LOLCats, but either the picture or caption must be candy-related. If you’re not handy with editing pictures, just use this online LOLCats (now LOLCandy) generator or this one that only works with Flickr. See my example to the right. Send the image or a URL to the image to me at lolcandyentry@candyaddict.com. I’ll add every entry to the LOLCandy gallery and the Candy Addict staff will judge them and choose the best one to be the winner. You can enter this one multiple times. Entries must be received by midnight EST, October 2.
UPDATE: After seeing some of the entries, I thought I should clarify what a LOLCandy photo is: It should be a photograph (no photoshop or drawings) of something. Then the text should be spelled phonetically (see LOLCats for examples) and the text should be said by the person/object in the picture. The text or picture should be candy-related.
Random Drawing: This one’s easy – just leave a comment on this post stating your favorite candy and that will enter you in the random drawing for the 3rd and 4th prizes (remember, you must be a registered Candy Addict to win). Non-winning entries from the Candy Treasure Hunt and the LOLCandy contest will be entered in this drawing automatically. One entry per person, please. So, you can have a total of three entries in the contest if you enter the Candy Treasure Hunt, submit a LOLCandy image, and leave a comment.

My favorite candy? Well, I’ll have to say chocolate in any shape or size, with an ultra-favorite right now is the super chocolate from Pierre Marcolini. For a more commercial one.. I’d say Reese’s peanut butter cups, sadly not sold here.

My favorite candy all depends on my mood. I absolutely love those candy cigarettes (erm….candy sticks, not cigarettes, no they would never market candy shaped like cigarettes to kids). I like the sticks from Lik-m-aids too. Not so much the sugar part. I’m also a sucker for those japanese candies that melt in your mouth. Oh man I wish I had some of those!

I found my way over here from Candyblog. :) My favorite candy – since childhood and still going strong – is Swedish fish. The little ones, not so much the big ones, and really just the red and the purple (RIP) ones. I’ll eat big ones or other-colored ones, but they just aren’t the same.

I was just looking at your gross list too– I once had a gummy nose my sister brought from New Zealand which had a green liquid inside. I think it even tasted good. LOL

My favourie candy fluctuates. Right now it’s a toss up between candy corn (it’s that time of year) and those new banana Reese’s cups. My achilles heel is candy cigarettes, though. It’s like a sugar shot to the heart.
boy i tell you im just a gum freak ijust have to have to have some gum every ten seconds because im always having a sugar rush but when i found this five gum thats when it all stopped that gum is excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish M&Ms still made Pirate Pearls. They were white chocolate M’s, just for last summer’s POTC movie. I was hoping they’d come out again for the last installment but no such luck.
