You wouldn’t believe the crazy/interesting emails I get. I recently received an email from a law firm representing a candy company that is being sued by another candy company. (I’m not going to mention specifics even though I wasn’t told to keep it hush-hush.) A while back I wrote about the candy (company) that is being sued, and now their lawyers want to pick my brain about the candy and find out about my background since I seem to have a great deal of “candy expertise”.
It made me laugh to think about being part of some court proceeding and being called as an “expert candy witness”. That cracks me up. I want Denny Crane to cross-examine me!

What makes me a candy industry expert? I eat and enjoy candy – I have all my life. That’s it. Nothing more. There are people all over the world just like me in this regard. I just happen to have a candy website to prove it. :)
UPDATE: I have now appeared on TV as a candy expert!

I always wonder where they get the “experts” on some of the cable shows, like “marshmallow expert” or “potato chip historian.” I guess you would now qualify for “candy expert” on some sort of documentary. And that is excellent.
