If you’ve ever thought about designing your own candy wrappers for parties, work gatherings, and the like, then Wrapcandy could be the software answer to your problems. They offer a wide variety of templates for all sorts of occasions, from birthdays to proms, and you can edit the ingredient list and serving information to your heart’s content.

The program itself starts at $29 for a direct download of the basic version (good for small batches), and the cost incrementally increases with special add-ons, like a CD copy or the professional version if you’re thinking of putting together your own candy wrapper business. All you really need is some good quality semi-gloss photo paper, a printer, and (naturally) a decent supply of ink to create these wrappers, which can then be glued around regular candy bars for a more personal touch.

Neat little idea if you need some unique party favors or goody bags, like these Bride and Groom Candy Bars pictured above and created by All Wrapped Up for You.

  1. I don’t know of any that do mylar, but the paper ones don’t have to be cheesy. If the proper paper is used, the wrappers look rather nice. I have the wrapcandy program which also comes with a membership to their forum which is wonderful. People create and share so many lovely wrappers there. It’s unbelievable how many things can be wrapped or created, it’s no limited to candy bars by any means. Anyway, Wrapcandy is highly recommended.

  2. The wedding candy bars are beautiful for ay type of occasion, especially a wedding. They would make beautiful wedding gifts or bridal shower gifts!

  3. I would appreciate a plain piece of paper colored with crayons made into a candy bar wrapper! That would make a really sweet personal gift! ^_^
