I had heard about Monty Python’s Whizzo Chooclate Company comedy sketch before but I had never actually seen it until I stumbled on this clip on YouTube the other day. I now know why people say J.K. Rowling (the author of the Harry Potter books) owes Monty Python a tip of the hat for some of the candy names in the books. I’ve always enjoyed Monty Python so I thought this clip was pretty funny and it has the added benefit of being about candy!
Yes… Monty Python…. and the birth of the Crunchy Frog… and the Cockroach Cluster (before a certain Potter got ahold of it). I used to have this sketch on LP.
