Having an Art History degree and a love for horror films I could really apprecaite the work that went into the “50 Dark Movies Hidden in a Painting” game. This painting/playing field has 50 “Dark” movies (i.e. horror movies, dark drama, film noir) hidden in it with visual clues (a picture that represents the title of a movie). The painting is in the style of Hieronymus Bosch who is best know for his triptych painting The Garden of Earthly Delights.
There are a few tricky ones, and a few that are better known as TV shows. Spelling counts (for the most part) as I discovered while trying to spell out a certain toothy fish species that starts with “P”. It took me 19 minutes to find all 50 (some are REALLY hidden). So grab a bag of Dark Chocolate M&Ms, start using your puzzle brain, and have fun.

Hmmm… the little alien in the tower, and the planets: I tried the correct answers a few times, and it didn’t turn green, so I thought I was wrong; I couldn’t think of what else they could be. Then I just retried it now and it worked (after reading an answer key). Perhaps there’s a glitch in the game? Anyways, it was really fun, even though my time sucked. I spent over an hour, spread over 2 days, but alot of that was because I didn’t use the pause function much and I have toddlers to chase after… I hope they do it next year, too. I was also thinking too much along the lines horror movies, not including thrillers or suspense.

I love this game it took me 4:00 inutes without cutting and oasting. the first time it tok me a lot longer but i got alost all the answers without help. If anyone finds any games similar to this post it please. :)
Fun game. Hard game, but fun. I had the queen of horror helping. Didn’t get 39 Steps, Blue Velvet, Rear Window, and Pitch Black. We had never heard of 39 Steps or Blue Velvet. The queen knew Clockwork Orange, but not me.
bloody hell that was hard but lets say me and my friend were LOST BOYS or that we did it in PICTH BLACK or i take 39 STEPS to my bed room or i have a pet PIRANA. But yeah its a fun game once you kinda look at the clues you konw wat it is like war of the worlds

hi all finally completed it after 15 mins. some were soooooo obvious that we missed them (ie 12 monkeys, signs!!) still had fun and would like to know of more!!!

my daughter and i actually did this one together, we had pounds of fun and did, to our determination, complete it. i agree with Debbie, m&m we want more!
When this first came out, did they award winners with bags of dark chocolate M&Ms? Seems like an appropriate prize!
