Man Pays for Stolen Candy From Childhood

Man Pays for Stolen Candy From Childhood

Shawn Seamons stole candy from a local store when he was a kid. A lot of it. He and his buddies would steal backpacks full of candy at a time. Now, Shawn has grown up and couldn’t live with the guilt any longer. He decided to pay back his debt and presented the store owners with a check for $200 to pay for the stolen candy from his childhood.

We all do dumb things when we’re kids. It’s nice to see someone make amends for his childhood wrongdoings. You gotta respect that.

  1. I love that he did this! Sounds like he got the idea from that “Earl” show on TV. Now, this guy will get a story in People magazine and probably a movie contract.

  2. Out here the kids are into crack cocaine at a really young age and stealing anything thats not nailed down to pay for it. I remember the good old days when bad kids stole candy…
Thanks for this article, Brian. Even if the guy profits from his notoriety it gives us a little chance to collectively assuage our childhood guilt.
