Ford Gum & Machine Company recently introduced a new, liquid candy meant to literally roll on your tongue. Rolly Pop Roller Candy comes in grape, blue raspberry, watermelon, and strawberry, and is dispensed rather like roll-on deodorant. It seems like a fun concept, and each flavor has its own color, which could make dying lips and tongues even cooler with potential for mixing custom hues. Each 1.23-ounce bottle retails for under a buck, and you can find them online or in local candy aisles. I’m going to have to practice serious restraint to keep from painting my lips different colors.

I hate to break it to you, but it doesn’t color your tongue at all.
I picked up a sample at the All Candy Expo and gave it to my nephew over the weekend (he’s my tasting panel for all things made for 6-10 year old boys). While he enjoyed the interactivity of rolling it on his tongue and the taste, it was only a slightly purple colored syrup when we rolled it onto a piece of paper.
June 19th, 2006 at 4:28 pmThis reminds me of middle school when a friend of mine told some girl as a joke that you can eat roll-on deodorant and it tastes like candy. She wasn’t too happy when she actually tried it. Ahh… middle school kids are mean. I think all I’d be able to think about if I tried the roll-on candy is deodorant.
