Collon: another poorly named foreign candy

Collon is another Japanese candy whose English name is rather disturbing. It appears that it is some sort of crispy wafer with a creamy filling. Collon comes in other flavors too (though Chocolate Collon is the funniest): Cream Collon, Strawberry Collon, and Green Tea Collon. Eating a candy named after a body part that contains human waste just isn’t too appealing to me.

  1. I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the laugh. I never really paid much attention to the candy when I was in Japan, so this stuff was new to me. Asse and Plopp? Poorly named, indeed!

  2. http://www.engrish.com should link to this.

in hebrew, the word for lollipop (& lollipop is an extremely well named candy, i think!) is mtsitsiya (something to suck on), but it has recently become the slang, yet commonly used term for blowjob – and is therefore also an unfortunate candy name imho, though i imagine some men might like that.

  3. It sounds good and dribble was starting to come out of my mouth when I saw what it meant and the dribble just almost magically came back up!
