Another weird candy I found on Flickr … “Cheeky Chewsomes, Flying Feet of Fury, Candy with a Kick, Gummi Chicken Feet”. The caption from the photographer says:
Dim sum lovers who can’t resist chicken feet, here’s one candy for you. Check out the cute chicken feet gummy on the bottom left!
It’s bad enough they sell real chicken feet in the meat section of the grocery store, but now they have invaded the candy aisle! What’s next? Gummi bacon?
Sick! Though I’m not sure I’d have as much trouble with them as I did with Gummi Bugs I had once. I generally love anything gummi, but these bugs had squishy liquid centers. Since I am hate hate HATE bugs–any and all bugs– the liquid centers were a little too realistic to me. I gagged, and gave the rest of the bag to my brother.
Funny chicken feet story… my brother-in-law lived in China for 2 years. One night he was invited to dinner by a Chinese family and they served chicken feet. REAL ones. He tried one. He bit into the tendon, and the foot flexed (eek!) and the claws scratched his face. It was deep enough that now, 10 years later, you can still see the scar on his face!
RESPONSE: I had the same feeling when I tried those bugs – I wrote about the Fun Bugs here.

Those are actually a line of candies from Target. They still sell them they also had lots of other odd brands in that candy line.
RESPONSE: Target, huh? I’ll have to look for them. Thanks!

Hahaha, pretty cool… there’s even a blog on Candy. How sweet (no pun intended!) :)

May 10th, 2006 at 11:20 am[...] In the 3 minute, 40 second segment (titled Gummi Chicken Feet), they talk about ice cream, mention a motorized ice cream-licker at Stupid.com, mention OldTimeCandy.com, Chick-O-Stick, and right around the 2:15 mark they mention Candy Addict! They start out mentioning my review of deep fried Snickers then go on to talk about the Weird Candy category here on Candy Addict and mention Chocolate Cat’s Tongue, Gummi Chicken Feet, and they finish off the segment with the Explosive Chocolate Bomb. April 6th, 2007 at 2:20 pmI am looking to buy those treats for a funny gag gift. They are sold out online on the sites I have located. I checked the local target in Indiana. No luck. Can you tell me what store to call so I may order them?
Thank you!
