Are these not the cutest truffles you have ever seen? I don’t think I have ever seen a truffle and thought “cute”, but now I have. These are from the “Country Critter Collection” from Moonstruck Chocolate Co. The collection includes a duck, cow, chick, lamb turkey, and pig (see picture below).
These aren’t the only cute truffles they have either. They also have a 4 piece Chick Truffle Collection, Chick Truffle In Chocolate Egg, Chocolate Flower Pots, and Wrapped Cream Cones and Sundaes.
You can also get the Connoisseur Collection, 24 of the same truffles that were given out at the Oscars…only $175. I’ll take two!

I’ve had a few Moonstruck truffles before and I was supremely impressed. I may be a candy addict, but there’s a layer of cocoa snobbery too.
So I promise to report back on whether they taste as cute as they look — I have ordered a few boxes as hostess gifts around Easter… and yes, I admit it, for myself too :0)

They are divine — a total aesthetic experience: great to look at and even better to eat. Also see that the NYTimes today published a story on them! (As I wrote on my blog, “a fortnight late and a truffle short” ;0)
