I realize this post is a little late for Christmas but I just found this today so give me a break, ok? Everyone knows about the licorice candy coal you can give to the naughty ones for Christmas, right? Today I saw this while browsing the Pennsylvania Dutch Candies website – it’s candy that looks like hot coal, comes with a hammer and bucket, and is cinnamon, not licorice. From the page: “Very flavorful HOT cinnamon chunks of hard candy with a break-up hammer.” I don’t have much to say about this – I just thought the “hot” red chunks looked cool (no pun intended).

I remember someone giving our family a licorice coal candy when I was a kid. I think I was responsible for eating the whole (big surprise).
