Now that I am older and don’t actually get to go out trick-or-treating (except to keep an eye on my daughter), I would say the one thing I hate about Halloween is when we get trick-or-treaters that are teenagers and they don’t even dress up. I don’t mind that they are older, but at LEAST dress the part. One kid said he was Tony Hawk (the pro skateboarder). “No you’re not – you’re a teenager dressed like you always dress. Get a job and buy your own candy, you punk!” Here’s a great page to go along with this:

  1. Some things to hate about Halloween, whether you’re trick or treating, or giving out treats:
    1. Getting pennies
    2. Getting homemade food – really, has anyone not figured out that parents won’t let kids eat homemade candy they get trick-or-treating?
    3. Those (peanut butter?) candies that come in the orange or black paper wrapper, what are they called? I don’t know, they’re disgusting though. I’d rather you turn out your light and not give out treats than get that crap.
    4. People that don’t come dressed up and want candy anyway. I’ve never really heard of this happening, but I’m always afraid that if I don’t give them candy out of protest that my car will end up egged or something.
    5. Parents that bring their babies trick-or-treating. Let me qualify though. These are the people who have a
