Stephen Colbert is starring in his own TV show on Comedy Central called “The Colbert Report”. In a recent interview he said,
Lemme just talk to you for a second about something that I think is good for America: caramel apples. I had one last night. Delicious. Not talking about candy apples. I think candy apples are a danger! You crack ‘em, they’re very sharp. You candy apple crowd need to wake up!

Yes, he was joking but I have to agree with him. I love caramel apples but I have never really liked candy apples. Too hard, too sticky. What’s your preference – candy or caramel apples?
Caramel of course! The candy on candy apples just break off. No good.

tried ‘em both and caramel apples are much better. They are deliciously rich and chewy and can be double-coated with chocolate and other yummy stuff. Candy apples are hard have rough edges.
I think that it really depends on what your taste is. If you like rich, chocolatey, buttery things then caramel apples for you! But, if you like more sweet, sugary, cinnamony things than candy apples for you! Me personally, I like candy apples because i have a huge sweet tooth and dont like very rich things, only sweet and sugary, but they are both yummy!
