Dale and Thomas Popcorn Debuts Popsters® at 2008 Fancy Food Show

“Have You Popped a Popster Today?”

Englewood NJ -(June 23, 2008) - Dale and Thomas Popcorn, and its team of popcorn chefs, unveiled Popsters® today. The Popster, which has a patent pending, is reminiscent of movie theatre classics such as the malted ball or chocolate covered raisin, is a fresh, crunchy piece of Dale and Thomas caramel corn, dipped in chocolate and other premium coatings. This exciting new item in the Dale and Thomas family of products was conceived through collaboration with Jeff Rubin, one of the most famous visionaries in confection retailing, and creator of candy megastores FAO Schweetz, Dylan’s Candy Bar and most recently IT’SUGAR.

The Dale and Thomas popcorn chef collaborated with Mr. Rubin, who has been on the forefront of confection culture for the past 20 years, to create a gourmet product that marries the best of premium chocolate and premium popcorn. Both embarked on a search for the ultimate bite sized “poppable” popcorn creation. Together, they sampled, tested, layered, dipped, and enrobed until they had the perfect combination of popcorn and confection… the Popster.

The Dale and Thomas Popster line will launch at the Fancy Food Show on June 29, 2008 with three inaugural flavors: Dark and Milk Chocolate, and rich and creamy Peanut Butter all accented by a crispy and crunchy caramel corn center. More unique and exciting flavors will be available in the coming months. Dale and Thomas Popsters will be the signature product in the Dale and Thomas Popcorn Popfection Collection™ and the next phase in the growth of America’s favorite gourmet popcorn brand.

The Popster will be available through many retailers throughout the country shortly following the Fancy Food Show. Both Chef Ed (aka the popcorn chef), and Jeff Rubin will be on hand at the Fancy Food Show to talk about the creation of what is destined to become the first great popcorn confection.
