Divine is challenging chocolate lovers to put their culinary skills to work and show the world they are hungry for the difference that Fair Trade can make for cocoa farmers. The contest runs from Oct 1st through Dec 15th. Entries can be submitted online at www.divinechocolateusa.com
Recipes will be judged across all categories—desserts, beverages, confections, appetizers etc. Judges will be looking for creativity, Divine appeal and reviewing statements from contestants.
Prizes will be awarded for First, Second, and Third Prize.
The First Prize Winner will receive a roundtrip ticket to Washington, DC and accommodations at Akwaaba Bed and Breakfast in DC to attend the awards ceremony and media event on or about February 5, 2008, a gift certificate to The Baker’s Catalogue and a Fair Trade basket of Divine Chocolate.
The second prize winner will receive a gift certificate from The Baker’s Catalogue and a Fair Trade basket of Divine Chocolate.
The third place winner will receive a basket of Divine Chocolate valued at $100. Winners will be notified by email no later than January 14, 2008 and the public announcement will be made at the awards ceremony in February 2008.
