New York Rates Maerine’s Chocolates A 29 - The Highest Possible Score In Zagat’s 2008 Gourmet Guide

September, 2007 – Martine Leventer was duly proud that her artisanal fine chocolates were rated a 28 out of 30 for three consecutive years in a row by the Zagat Guide. As of this month, New Yorkers have pushed Martine’s Chocolates up even higher, awarding it a 29 rating in quality – the highest possible score from the Zagat Gourmet Guide! “We are absolutely elated, and want to thank New York chocolate lovers for giving us the highest rating,” notes Chocolatier Leventer.

To thank New Yorkers for recognizing her commitment to making the very freshest and finest chocolates possible, Martine’s Chocolates will offer a specially priced selection of her award winning chocolates (in store only). For one week, beginning on Monday, September 24th, customers will receive a free heart-shaped chocolate lollipop* (a $6.25 retail value) with a one-time purchase over $29, or will get .29 cents off of select “by-the-piece” chocolates.

“I am extremely pleased and honored by this important recognition,” notes Martine Leventer, Founder and Owner of Martine’s Chocolates. “Such ratings validate what we’ve been doing for nearly fifteen years – recognizing that people really want quality, fresh, all natural chocolate,” adds Leventer. When Martine opened her flagship store at Bloomingdale’s in New York City, she was one of the only high-end European-style chocolatiers around.

  1. Martine’s fresh creams are better than any chocolates imaginable anywhere in the world. If you are into great chocolates, once you experience them you’ll never live without them…I can’t and I used to be in the chocolate business.
