Here we go again… another artisan-style caramel product made with high falootin’, responsibly-cultivated ingredients. You’re probably thinking, “Wake me up when this review is over!”, right? Sounds likes a good idea. While you go ahead and take a snooze, I’ll just pop a few more of these squishy-delish, dairy delicacies in my mouth.

Sweet moogley googley – what a mouthful. Being able to rattle off the name of this treat to the product ordering manager of your neighborhood supermarket or favorite mom and pop shop without referencing a cheat sheet is highly unlikely, so be sure to tuck a tangible reminder somewhere safe. By the end of this review, you’re going to need it. (Other sites refer to it as “Amy’s CRISPY Organic Candy Bar”).
Amy’s should ring a bell with fans of natural and organic convenience foods, snacks, and pantry staples due to their 25 year run as a wholesome eats purveyor. Right. That Amy’s. Now they’ve extended their higher quality, minimally processed credo to the candy biz, which is a huge plus for lovers of sweet midday nibbles.

With a name like Heavenly Bites, you automatically expect that the sweet little sensation you’re about to dive into is chock full of divine inspiration. Given the fact that this 100% natural confection, produced by Boulder, Colorado’s Oh Yes You Candy!, is made with carob rather than chocolate, I immediately knew that an absolute miracle would have to occur for me to like it.

Keeping tabs on the latest nutritional studies and headlines is always a thrill a minute (especially if you pride yourself on eating a relatively healthy diet) because once seemingly wholesome dietary staples will inevitably be kicked to the curb in favor of their far more artery-worthy cousins.
Candy Review: GoNaturally Blood Orange and Iced Mint Mango

Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a brand of candy that was actually good for you and did more than just cause your teeth to fall out? Unfortunately, no such candy exists, but the folks at Hillside Candy have come awfully close with their “healthier-for-you” Go Naturally hard candies. These organic bad boys are free of gluten, free of preservatives, and made without high fructose corn syrup. Recently, two new flavors, Blood Orange and Ice Mint Mango, have been added to the Go Naturally line-up, but without all the unhealthy-but-delicious parts, do these candies taste any good? They do! The Blood Orange flavor tastes like… well… oranges. I’ll admit, I’m not quite sure how blood oranges differ from regular oranges in terms of flavor, but if this candy is to be trusted, blood oranges are sweeter and less tart.
