Fans of highly processed dime-a-dozen sweets, perhaps this particular indulgence isn’t up your alley. With just 8 ingredients (the majority of which most kindergarteners are familiar with), Nunu Chocolates’ Bacon Toffee Bar seems like far less of a devilish indulgence than what you might find at the checkout line of your local grocery store. Of course, I’m not about to suggest that anything incorporating bacon deserves a nutritional halo, and since the version used in this recipe is apparently not certified organic, it’s likely factory farmed which brings up an additional slew of red flags…but Candy Addict® is all about edible escapism, so let’s regroup, shall we?
Candy Review: Nunu Chocolates’ Bacon Toffee Bar

Categories: Candy,Candy For Kids,Candy Recipes,Chocolate Candy,Classic and Retro Candy,Foreign (non-US) Candy,Holiday Candy,Weird CandyI’m not really sure when chocolate chickens were officially born, but it puts a smile on my face to know that they exist. What I can tell you is that chocolate eggs, at least in the form of the Cadbury Creme Egg we know today, first hatched in 1971, replacing an earlier type of creme-filled egg the company launched in 1923.
In the spirit of Easter, let’s talk more about Cadbury Creme Eggs.
Google+ Cadbury = Sweet, Edible Technology
Categories: Candy,Candy News,Chocolate CandyCandy is fun! Creative! Inventive! So what does any respectable candy company like Cadbury do when its Google+ page gets 500,000 “circlers” (fans)? …it celebrates by making a Google+ profile page out of chocolate!
How does one go about making an edible profile page? Well, the base is made of 1 kilogram (about 2.2 pounds) of milk chocolate. Followed by a layer of Cadbury Dream Chocolate. Then topped with layers of sculpted chocolate pieces all held together by chocolate glue. There are even edible inks printed on sugar papers to display fan photos. Amazing!
Candy Review: See’s Assorted Decorated Eggs
Categories: Candy,Candy Reviews,Chocolate Candy,Holiday CandyEaster eggs! This is the time of year when you have oodles and oodles of options. Do you want hard candy shells that protect a layer of chocolate goodness? Or maybe you prefer them filled… with peanut butter? Or marshmallow? Or fondant? Each spring, I become so embarrassingly giddy, so overwhelmed by the sheer volume of delectable eggs available for purchase, that I end up buying a veritable mountain of them – which I then hoard to get me through those long summer months when the only kinds of eggs you can buy are hard boiled or scrambled. Some Easter eggs are so delicious that I can’t imagine hoarding them for any longer than a couple of days. Sometimes, it’s all I can do to keep from ripping into the package while I’m waiting in line at the cash register. See’s Assorted Decorated Eggs are like that.
