I grew up in a family where farts always came out on top in the laughter department. My brother was the King of it in our house. Very soon, I can buy him his own bag of edible Farts™. That’s right, Leaf Brands (the candy company that brought us Astro Pops®, Jolly Ranchers ®, Whoppers ®and Milk Duds®) are coming out with a new chewy fruity candy that they have named Farts™.
Have no fear, for they shall not be like normal farts! These new candy Farts™ will be fruity, chewy, colorful and will have a bumpy candy coating. Farts™ will come in over 126 flavors that according to Leaf Brand, LLC, they will “pick the flavors based on customers’ votes on Facebook and other social media platforms.”
It’s a great name, I mean who doesn’t laugh or at least crack a smile at a Fart™? I know I’ll be buying some and of course, sending a few bags to my brother.
It’s nice to take the occasional break from candy-eating and have a chance to try out some new gum. My two packs of Dentyne Pure couldn’t have come at a better time. I had just finished my morning latte and had an appointment with the eye doctor within the hour. I was a little apprehensive about having coffee breath and my mind wandered to all the terrible things people must deal with in their occupations. I saw this commercial for Skittles Fizzl’d Fruits and thought it was hilarious. It reminded me of being a kid with my siblings as we “charged up” in our socks to shock each other. Good times! Hardwood floors are fancy and nice, but nothing’s more fun than shag carpet! I wonder… is “sock-shocking” a favorite pastime for any one else out there?
Also, why in the world is one of Tube Sock’s legs considerably larger than the other?! Sometimes I like to make up stories and it just so happens that right now is sometimes. I heard the uni-sock wearer broke his leg during the filming and had to continue filming because he was under contract. So, the biggest leg? That’s a cast under there. It’s dangerous work as a stunt sock, don’t ya know. Anyone else have any thoughts on leggus maximus?
I’m not really a huge fan of fruity sweets and when I think of candy, I think of chocolate. So, after I devoured and finished up the review of Wonka Exceptionals chocolate bars, I turned to the Fruit Marvels and Fruit Jellies. Courtesy of the All Candy Expo, I was able to try two of the Nuclear Sludge Chew Bars from Toxic Waste: the blue raspberry and the sour apple.
Blue Raspberry: I’m a Candy Addict who loves sour things and I’m telling you woohoo is this sour! The blue raspberry flavor started out really sour and just got more sour as I chewed. By the time I’d chewed enough to swallow, my eyes were watering. The flavor reminds me of a sour version of those blue Popsicles. Unfortunately, the first chew ended with a bit of a bitter taste and subsequent bites got progressively more bitter. I’d have liked it more if it just stuck with the sour. The texture was moderately chewy, taking a long time to chew any given bite.
