Jelly Belly Recipe Game

Attention all wannabe jellybean connoisseurs! Starting on January 22nd, Jelly Belly will run a contest where you can share your favorite Jelly Belly recipes for a chance to win a grand prize of $10,000. Instant win game pieces will also be included in specially-marked Jelly Belly bags. It’s a little early, so there’s not much info available on the contest besides what’s on the press release, but I’m wondering if they’ll allow the use of their special Harry Potter-themed Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans.

See, I’ve got this great idea for Dirt, Grass, Earthworm, and Chocolate Pudding. I call it a Mud Pie.

Friday Fun: Goetze’s Enchanted Forest

When I was a kid, I loved to solve Where’s Waldo puzzles and stare at hidden picture games. While checking out Goetze’s website, I found the Enchanted Forest and took a trip back in time. Goetze’s makes delicious Caramel Creams, Cow Tales, and other chewy candies. Their cute cows are often found amongst their promotional materials, and they hid fifteen of the spotted bovines in the Enchanted Forest. I had a little trouble finding them all, but luckily there’s a solution page if you can’t find them all. Check the trees, rocks, and everything between—a cow could be anywhere!

Lotte Gum Unbalance – Jenga with Gum

Lotte Gum Unbalance Game

If you like Jenga and you like gum, Lotte Gum Unbalance Party Game could be just the thing for you. Like Jenga, Gum Unbalance is set up like a tower of rows of blocks. The object is to remove one block per turn without crashing the stack to the ground. Instead of plain wooden blocks, Gum Unbalance uses replicas of Lotte Black Black, Cool Mint, and Green Gum packs. There’s also a dice-rolling component, which I don’t remember with Jenga. Whichever color you roll corresponds to the gum you must pull.

With the holiday shopping season already in swing, Gum Unbalance could make a great gift for the Candy Addict in your life.

Juicy Fruit Sweet Shot

Shooting hoops is a great way to start the weekend, but if the boss won’t let you out before sunset, check out Wrigley’s Candystand Sweet Shot Basketball. It’s a fairly simple arcade-style game that works on the basic concept of tossing balls through the hoop as often as possible in 90 seconds. The Juicy Fruit-themed backboard moves back a little bit during the game, but not while you’re actually trying to make a shot. Messages periodically flash on the scoreboard, and for me, they were things like “BRICK” and “Congratulations, you’re our new towel boy.” I’m glad my mom told me it’s not about winning, but how I play the game—especially on Friday.
