Yes, it’s one of those online quiz thingies that can predict various aspects of your personality from the answers you give to some very easy questions. I don’t know how accurate this quiz is, but here’s my result:

You know, Cadbury Creme Eggs aren’t even my favorite Easter candy. I’m more of the chocolate bunny and Peeps type. There’s something about the gooey texture of the Creme Egg filling that doesn’t sit right with me. It might be because I’m not really fond of sweet and slimy things.

I’ve always enjoyed filling out the hundreds of online quizzes that exist on the internet. Luckily, I’ve finally found one that suited for all us Candy Addicts: The What Flavor of Pocky Are You Quiz! I’ve never thought about candy philosophically in terms of assigning personalities to it or visa versa. Maybe the idea spawned from a Pocky induced sugar rush?

In any case, this Pocky Quiz is so much fun! Are you Chocolate Pocky? Strawberry? Decorer? As you can tell from the image above, I am Green Tea Pocky. I don’t think that it completely sounds like me, but Green Tea Pocky is yummy, so who am I to argue?

Laffy Taffy Not So Laffy

Famous candy tycoon Willy Wonka has discovered, to his absolute horror, that one of the jokes featured on a Laffy Taffy wrapper was not actually funny. To correct this humor crisis, he has put out a call for a “new deputy executive director of Wonka Laffy Taffy wrapper humor management.” Prospective applicants must send in two original jokes, three puns, and “a description of a humorous situation guaranteed to make both a fourth grader and a 70-year-old fall down laughing.”

All relevant info is contained on the Wonka candy press release, as well as a page on Wonka.com. But they stuck a disclaimer at the bottom: “The Joke is On You! We will not actually be hiring for this position, but we still want you to submit your jokes and other comments.”

Darn, I was hoping this was real, and people would get a chance to work alongside Mr. Wonka himself and his loyal team of Oompa-Loompas.

Create a Custom M&M Character

I’m always interested to see how candy companies find ways to promote their products. Usually they come in the form of contests, toys or games, with the latter being my personal preference. It’s more fun to play a game than it is to hope for the slight chance of winning some vacation, electronic, or a lifetime supply of the product.

That being said, M&M’s just released a new section of their webpage that allows you to create your own personal M&M! What a great idea! Once you start you’ll be faced with such important decisions as your type (plain, peanut or almond) and color, but also eyes, shoes, hair, accessories, etc. There’s also a plethora of activities for your personal M&M character once its been created. Just be sure to create an account or log in before you start so you can save your M&M alias. Otherwise you may lose all your hard work!

Friday Fun: The Great Flying Mintini

Altoids Mint

Altoids has a great website despite it being almost all Flash (which I hate for navigation). In their Flash game “The Great Flying Mintini” you must control the angle and power of Mintini being shot out of a cannon. Try to grab Altoids tins while flying through the air and you MUST land in the marked landing area.

It’s tricky but very fun. Above you see my score the first time I tried it and didn’t know what I was doing. See if you can beat it!
