Mmmmm…. Smores! One of the seriously best things about summer.
April 26th, 2010 at 12:18 amI love s’mores!!!
April 26th, 2010 at 12:19 amRight now, s’mores sound really awesome. They are incredibly tasty and delicious, like a little chocolatey drop fell from heaven and landed on top of a cracker and marshmallow I was holding over an open flame. Tastes good.
April 26th, 2010 at 5:04 amsmoreesss…. yumm. The best food for present time. They are great for the recession as they wont break the bank. They get the family and friends closer together. Heck they even promote peace, love and freedom… the browns, the whites and the blacks, all stuck together in gooy goodness. :)
April 26th, 2010 at 5:08 amS’mores are a true sign of summer that I just can’t say no to!
April 26th, 2010 at 6:44 amI don’t think it’s possible to make s’mores without Hershey’s. Lucky for me I’m pretty close to Hershey, PA!

April 26th, 2010 at 4:49 pmThere sooo MMHHMM..MHMMM gOOOD (:
Summer is just not summer without making smores around a bon fire. When I was about 8, I attended a summer camp in Sedona, Arizona. One night we had a huge bonfire and were making smores, I had my graham cracker and was loading my Hershey bar all of the sudden a melted marshmallow comes flying out of nowhere and lands right on the Hershey bar, just perfect (someone was trying to blow out the fire on it by waving it). Without a beat I said, “Now that is what I call service”, loaded my top graham cracker on and took a big chomp. Everyone was then trying to fling marshmallows on everyone else’s smore. Hot marshmallow food fight ensued. It was the coolest summer ever. Now every time I make smores at a campfire, it is like being 8 at summer camp!
April 26th, 2010 at 5:53 pmA s’mores haiku:
Sitting round the fire
The choc’late must be Hershey’s
Unbending the wire
Toasting marshmallows
All gooey on the inside
The scent fills the air
Get the graham ready
April 26th, 2010 at 8:34 pmSavor that first melty bite
Must make another
Hershey’s chocolate smothered smores smake me sappy!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:19 pmCandy Addict could always use S’more giveaways. The S’more, the better.
Thanks!
April 26th, 2010 at 11:30 pmLast summer, my boyfriend and I sat by a hot campfire around 8pm on a still summers night and toasted up some marshmallows, Hershey’s chocolate and placed it all on a graham cracker…. I have to say that my FAVORITE PART about camping is making the s’mores :))
April 26th, 2010 at 11:43 pmSmores remind me of summer, which is why I spend all winter making them in my microwave, dreaming of the snow to melt!
April 27th, 2010 at 12:11 amRemember folks make s’mores not wars!
April 27th, 2010 at 6:32 amI love S’mores. I remember making them when I was young and a Girl Scout while on camping trips. The best is when the chocolate melts by the marshmellows and it is all sticky. That is the best.
April 27th, 2010 at 7:26 amI love S’mores, but not as much as my Cub Scouts! We went camping last summer and all the boys wanted was S’mores, S’mores, and more S’mores! I swear we cooked at least two bags of marshmallows on sticks found in the nearby woods which unfortunately led to many, many marshmallows burnt beyond recognition because a few of the sticks caught on fire LOL! S’mores are excellent, and my cubs would agree the best part is when the hot marshmallow melts the chocolate makes them “AWESOME”!!!!
April 27th, 2010 at 9:11 amMany cynics have sneered and rolled their eyes at the thought of the perfect S’more. “THEY DO NOT EXIST” snicker the masses “IT CAN NOT BE DONE!” they jeer. Despite the naysaying and disbelief…I have seen the mythical treat in it’s toasty melted magnificence. I have been taught the secret of the perfectly toasted marshmallow, the soft chocolate layer and warm golden slabs of crispy graham.
I beg of you, do not succumb to the tales of those who have failed, Continue the quest! Though trials of burnt sticks and cracked crackers await… I can tell you this my friends…The reward of the journey may be the greatest treasure of all.
April 27th, 2010 at 11:43 amThe campfire burns. It’s 9:08.
April 27th, 2010 at 11:49 amI feel so good cuz I just ate
Two graham crackers, and chocolate, too,
With marshmallow turned to warm, white goo.
A treat indeed, a dripping mess.
A touch of melty joy — oh yes!
It’s bedtime soon, but I’m not done.
I simply cannot stop at one.
Because, you see, it takes three s’mores
To make a night of happy s’nores.
Yum. S’mores. Reminds me of being in Girl Scouts as a kid.
April 27th, 2010 at 12:32 pmOkay, so it wasn’t that fun, we hated each other and someone always ended up with peanut butter in their hair after a night of pranks, but hey, the S’mores were delish.
A few days ago, some friends and I found what bills itself as the “world’s biggest marshmallows” at the Big Y the other day. Deciding that it was necessary to test these out with, what other than the world’s biggest s’more, we put our thinking caps on and ended up roasting the marshmallows and layering the graham crackers and chocolate bars, all whole, like a giant lasagna, and then roasting it all again on the grill. All of us, hunched over this tiny little range on a Friday night, is a fun memory I’ll remember forever. That, of course, and the game of chubby bunny we played after. None of us could fit more than one!
April 27th, 2010 at 12:51 pmI am a librarian in Sacramento and this summer we are offering a special “Summer Camp at the Library” program that will involve scary storytelling, friendship bracelet crafts, and, of course, s’mores! Winning a prize pack would go a long way toward putting a smile on these young library patrons’ faces!
April 27th, 2010 at 4:57 pmI always enjoyed torching the marshmallows before adding the chocolate, to give my S’mores a smoky flavor. MMMM.
April 27th, 2010 at 5:15 pmI love smores I love making mine w/ honey roasted peanut butter! I also love smores ice cream pie GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! :D
April 27th, 2010 at 5:34 pmThere’s just something sexy about eating a smore, at least I think so! Way sexier than eating one of those messy burgers!
April 27th, 2010 at 5:52 pmWe just made s’mores last weekend we were all sitting at sisters house and us adults had them with those big huge marshmellows they have out and everyone was laughing because nobody could eat them but at the end everyone did lol And they were yummy!!! Made some smores one time and the marshmellow stuck to my lip and burned it pretty bad. Did that cause me to not like or eat smores again. NEVER!! I say! I love smores!

April 28th, 2010 at 10:21 pmWE LOVE YOU SMORES:)
S’mores are the first thing my son thinks of when we mention camping or having a summer BBQ! When he was about two and had his first s’more it was quite possibly the first food he had where none of it ended up in his hair. Sure, he got some gooey marshmallow and melty chocolate on his hands, but he was more than happy to lick it off instead of scrubbing it on his head!
The next year when our summer was just too rainy to have many outdoor activities I showed him that you can make them in the microwave. Watching his eyes grow as big as the ‘mallow was priceless! But even he agrees- s’mores are always good, but best when created by a campfire!

April 29th, 2010 at 8:01 pmA: A pouch potato!
s’mores have been past on thru my family for generations , my parents started at camp in the 50′s and 60′s we’ve passed it on to our kids, and now our grandkids. There is nothing like sitting around a campfire and letting the kids toast a few marshmallows & making something they love and love to share . Although my favorite part is when they come up to you after getting all sticky from eating them and giving you a great big sticky hug & kiss laughing all the while.
April 30th, 2010 at 10:39 amwhen summer comes around it gets me so excited, because I know that where i’m from summer=s’mores season! i’ve tried my very best to get my hands on these delicious treats year round but it just doesn’t work…my roommate and I have tried everything from making microwave s’mores, oven s’mores, toaster s’mores, s’mores on the stovetop and the list of unsuccessful s’mores goes on!! now that summer is here, i can’t wait to go camping if only for the purpose of sitting around a campfire and making s’mores with my good friends while having a good time :)
April 30th, 2010 at 11:33 amI just want some s’mores..
April 30th, 2010 at 3:20 pmMmm s’mores. This reminds me of the long summer nights camping in the Dells, trying not to burn the marshmellows and making the most delicious smores imaginable. The burnt ones were pretty dog gone good too.
