Last month I told you about Red Rocker Candy Cashew Toffee Candy. Did you try it yet? What are you waiting for?! It’s extremely tasty. Okay, fine, you’re busy, whatever. Just tell me when you’ve tried it.
So, given my super positive experience last time, I’m eager to try today’s treat: Red Rocker Candy Peanut Brittle. It’s got the same striped, conveniently resealable package, and (on the odd side) an unattributed quotation on the front: “It’s really, really good!” Hmmmm. Says who? The Red Rocker Candy owner? Jacques Cousteau’s daughter? The anosmic lumberjack from next door?
Well, regardless of who said it on the package, let’s see if it holds up.
I’ll tell you how good this peanut brittle is by noting this fact: I almost ate the whole bag before I sat down to write this review. Now usually it’s quite easy for me to leave plenty of candy until I canvas my taste impressions for a write-up, but I’m right this second down to one measly peanut and its surrounding brittle. So, yeah, it’s good stuff.
What I particularly like is the obvious quality of the ingredients; the butter and sugar and peanuts just taste fresh, and better, than your average candy. (Oh crud – there’s nothing but peanut brittle dust left… guess I’ll have to tip the bag.)
So making the call on Red Rocker Candy Peanut Brittle is easy. If you like peanut brittle, I highly recommend this delicious take on the ol’ classic. In fact, you can quote me. “It’s really, really good!”
Red Rocker Candy also makes Pistachio Brittle, Pecan Brittle, and Cashew Brittle. I’ve tried them all, and each is delicious. Choose your favorite nut and you can’t go wrong with these top-notch brittles.
These brittles are fantastic! Red Rocker also makes several varieties of toffee, and I recommend trying those, too. I love how these candies satisfy both my sweet tooth and salt craving — perfect combo!
As for the peanut brittle “dust” that Nico mentioned, I like using the broken bits at the bottom of the bag as ice cream topping! Yum.
February 17th, 2009 at 1:16 pmI agree…Red Rocker Peanut Brittle is the best I’ve had. Thick brittle with whole peanuts. It tastes so fresh as if it was made yesterday. Plus, the company does a great job shipping it to me (California) from Virginia. I’d like to eat the whole package myself. But, my wife and son would kill me. Thanks Red Rocker!
