If Tic-Tacs are so bad for people, and can cause liver failure, then I should be dead. So what now? I’ve eaten loads of tic tacs, and I’m perfectly fine. Lori is right. Xylitol is nothing but a beneficial product. It’s not harmful.

Xylitol should be in more products. It can prevent the number one disease that children face in america and all over the world. I search for products with xylitol init for my patients. Have you ever known someone who has had head and neck radiation to battle cance? Xylitol is a naturaly occuring product that can be of extrem benifit to these people who suffer from dry mouth which is painfull and leads to dental decay. Chocolate is toxic to dogs lets ban that.

Tons of things are “toxic” to dogs in large doses. Xylitol is found in the fibres of many fruits and vegetables, including various berries, corn husks, oats, and mushrooms. It can be extracted from corn fiber, birch, raspberries, plums, and corn.

It is safe! Just dont eat like 100 boxes of tic tacs….

Xylitol is terrible. It is extremely toxic to dogs, causing low blood sugar (seizures, drooling, vomiting) and in some cases liver failure and death. I wish the gum companies would stop adding it to all of their products. I refuse to buy any products containing it.

i absolutely loveeeeee these cherry tic tacs. I tried the cherry tic tacs for the first time last week in Detroit. I flew back to my home in NY and have been looking for these tic tacs ever since!!!

i haven’t tried these, but i have a gripe with manufacturers.

i am a long-time lover of orange Tic-Tacs, but i can’t buy them anymore. I feel too guilty when i come to the last tic-tac. What am i supposed to do with the box? it’s completely useless and not recyclable. Does anyone else feel this way?

Why have all candy packages gone completely environmentally unfriendly?? (i’m looking at you, HERSHEY!!!)

These are already on the shelves in CT, have been for a while, and I have to say that I love them. They’re sweet, but not overwhelmingly, and the cherry flavour is a gentle cherry, not the overdone faux cherry that you get in a lot of candies.
