Candy-related games should be a part of every Candy Addict’s life. Who among us did not start out playing Candy Land? More grown up candy-themed games are ones that usually involve lobbing sweets at someone’s head, or using candy as a game piece for a board game and so on. Now you can take your genius to a whole new level with candy-based word games!
Far be it from us to encourage such behavior, but I think bookmarking these games would be a great idea. Then you can play them at work while looking very busy (don’t forget the furrowed brow!) Particularly addictive is the PhotoSoup game. The best part is, each time you play, it uses new and different candy pictures and words. (You can also use other words besides candy, but you didn’t hear that from us.)
For the left-brained among us, if you can unscramble candy words like spcanos and you like eating hlmeedsona, then the candy word scramble is the game for you. You can even download it and play it with your friends (bonus points if you go and buy all these and have a candy tasting night at the same time!)
Those fond of a word search can try Carrie’s Candy Search… you just have to deal with the annoying “Ohhh, yyeeeaahhh” clapping girl. (Go on, you know you want to.) Blackdog has a similar candy word search but with a more adult candy bent – words like marzipan, aniseed and truffle all make an appearance. ABC Teach has their own candy word search you can try – or print it out for the kids.
There are endless hours of candy word fun out there, once you start looking. I would know, too – you don’t want to know just how long it took me to write the above paragraph. Every time I’d write a sentence I’d think, “Well, best to TRY that game, right? I’ll chalk it up to research!” Research, sme-search. It’s just kinda fun knowing that my favorite candy is also known as waslmshmralo!
