Don't let the secret out....it will mean all the more for us! Crepes au Chocolat are absolutely THE BEST cookie ever made. A friend gave me some for Christmas two years ago...and I refused to let the tin be thrown away for fear I'd forget the name and never find them again. Magnific!

I've noticed Delacre items in the circulars for Walgreens drug store. I haven't been to the store to confirm that they have this variety, but it really would be worth checking there if you have a store and you're looking for them. They seem to have a lot of fancy confections and biscuits at Christmastime.

I love, love, love these. I live in suburban Chicago and I usually find them at the Pepperidge Farm outlet store right before Christmas. Both Pepperidge Farm and Delacre are owned by the Campbell Soup Company. The only problem is I checked at the outlet this past Friday (12/5) and they did not have them yet. GOOD LUCK in finding them--they are totally worth it.

The US website is: http://www.delacre.com/. However, that probably won't do you much good either, as much of it seems broken. Perhaps they'll fix it soon!

OK, uhh, confession time (again, sigh): I snarfed up two sleeves. In one sitting. Dang, I couldn't help myself, I'm a texture freak and thin, crispy layers of anything are a weakness, but to cover that with just the right amount of yummy chocolate? The deal was done before I even got home! Well, one sleeve in the car, one at home (it was a long ride home? I was extra hungry? Dang, none of those are true). I have to just keep facing the hard fact that I'm a candy addict! Not that I find this to be a problem, mind you, nor do I need a 12-step group, thankyouverymuch. I just love my candy and sweet stuff. A lot!

(For those who love these crepes, there is a non-chocolate covered Japanese crepe that has the same thin, crispy-all-over-your-shirt layers, but larger and coming in different Japanese flavors like sesame, coconut, dried fish floss - it's not fishy, really! - and plain egg. They are very sweet, VERY crispy and have many, many thin layers. Bigger than the chocolate Belgian ones, but oh-so addictive, too. I don't have a box to give you the name - uhh, I ate them - but you can look for them where Japanese stuff is sold; there is a photo of the crepes on the box's cover. Mmmmm!)

OMG, we were gifted these during the holiday season and I could NOT leave them alone! The flavor itself is fairly good, though the quality of chocolate is a few notches above average, but it's that delicate, tissue-thin, crispity texture of the buttery cocoa crepes against the unctuous chocolate that had me polishing off an entire sleeve in one sitting.

What's even more awesome about the fact that it comes from Costco is its econo-sizing, which means you don't have to mourn an hour later the fact that an entire sleeve of these babies are gone. Cuz there's more...

Taste awesome on top of ice cream, by the way. Shattered and scattered all over the top. Man, I'm craving these so bad now...!
