October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in several countries all around the globe. In support of the ongoing fight to cure breast cancer, several candy companies are turning their products pink. Mars, Nestle, Hershey’s… classic candies like M&M’s, York Peppermint Patties, Tic Tacs and Kit Kats are all going pink for the cause. Monies donated from all this pinky goodness go to support several breast cancer charities.
This past Monday was Pink Ribbon Day here in Australia, and I took the opportunity to stock up on a number of pink products. Most pink-for-breast-cancer-research candies have a decidedly strawberry bent (which makes perfect sense) and most of them are Limited Edition products. If you are someone who regularly buys these products (and what Candy Addict doesn’t?), consider going pink for October – you’ll be supporting a great cause and getting to try some new flavors to boot!
Those pink Kitkats looks lovely! How were they? Strawberry flavored?
