UPDATE: Serendipity Chocolates has closed its doors. So sad.
Any Candy Addict knows that chocolate is indeed a heavenly commodity. Even the Aztecs (early Candy Addicts in my opinion) considered chocolate to be a gift from the gods. The creative chocolatiers over at Serendipity Chocolates have decided to represent the Zen side of chocolate with their beautiful and tempting Chocolate Buddhalicious Bonbons.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Chocolate Deities, but these little Buddhas certainly stand out from the rest. They’re made of dark chocolate with a crystallized ginger center, then polished by hand so they have a golden sheen. If that doesn’t bring you to chocolate enlightenment, I don’t know what will!
It appears as of July 14th, Serendipity Chocolates have decided to call it quits. It’s too bad because those buddahs are very unique.
July 18th, 2007 at 9:59 amI was so very sad to see that Serendipity closed. I had just found out about them recently and was planning on visiting their store. And I was excited that they’d be at the “SF Chocolate Salon”. But alas, no.
However, the Buddhas come in delicious form from The Xocolate Bar: http://www.thexocolatebar.com/ . Tamarind Mango – quite delish. I highly recommend this company.
