I'm greatful these luscious candy eggs are only made during the Easter season, because I'm a "Butter Krak" addict! I find original butter cream eggs to be overly sweet, but not the "Butter Kraks." For me, the crunch of the toasted coconut is what creates that extraordinary pleasure in each and every bite.

I read that there are new owners of the factory, who are now producing these eggs the original way, which makes the filling softer instead of drier. You might want to try one again. They are delicious! Butter Krak is definitely the best!

OMG!!!!! I grew up with my mother always getting them at Easter time and then hiding them from my sister and me in the freezer, then eating them at night in bed! Ten years have passed since my mom has been gone and every Easter since then we always get some butter krak eggs in remembrance of her and laugh at all the ways she used to hide them from us - one year i am going to go and put one on her grave - I KNOW SHE WOULD LOVE IT!

Here's a joke/pun for you.

When I read the name of the candy, I immediately though "Buut crack". That, combined with the look of the candy in the second pic (first unwrapped one) makes for a rather unpleasant mental image.

You might want to look into Hometown Candy before you link to them next time. They don't have a great track record with their customers. (That said, I'd still like to try this Butter Krak, it sounds right up my alley.)
