Editor’s note: This review was written and submitted by a reader named Jenny! Thanks, Jenny, for the great review!

I remember when I was a kid and the prospect of getting my favorite candies – only in pastel – along with a lot of jelly beans that I would only have to pick the black ones out of was so thrilling I could hardly contain myself. It was the penultimate if I got one of those bird’s nest things, you know, the green chocolate-covered coconut rounds with three jelly beans (eggs) in the middle? Then as the years went by I got bored with the same old pink and yellow Peeps and jelly beans that started arriving in stores too hard to eat by the time they got there (and besides that, except for the generic brands, they never have lime! Green is always apple or melon! What’s up with that?).

Recently though (in the last 3-4 years), I’ve been getting excited again because they’ve been coming out with some really intriguing stuff. My boyfriend, who works at Kroger, says they just got something called “Happy Grass.” After we laughed about how it sounds like something, er, illegal, he told me it’s like cotton candy, only sour, reminiscent of the Warheads-type sour. Anyway, so the other day I’m rounding the corner at our local Schnuck’s and I see the shelves of Easter candy. Not wanting to miss anything this year, I go check them out.

There on one of the middle shelves (the ones they put the best stuff on since buyers are most likely to pluck products from them first) is a pile of bags of Disney “Marshmallow Treats.” The bags had Pooh and a few friends on them, and I acknowledged that they were probably pretty cute because of that, but I almost passed them by, thinking marshmallow shmarshmallow, they all taste the same. But then I looked at the package and noticed the flavors it listed – and I looked through the clear part of the bag and saw that they looked like Circus Peanuts! So I grabbed a bag – they were only $1.09!

I got home, and wow, let me tell you, if you like Circus Peanuts, you will LOVE these! From the first bite to the last, they were every bit as chewy and pillowy and disintegrate-in-your-mouth-y as all Circus Peanuts are supposed to be. The bags contain several each of Pooh (lemon), Piglet (cherry), Tigger (banana/original) and Eeyore (cotton candy). The lemon is the strongest of the four, but in a good way. The cherry is the weakest of the four, and you almost have to focus on nothing but the candy to taste the actual cherry flavoring … but it’s nevertheless very pleasant. The banana is awesome, perfect, just like regular Circus Peanuts. The cotton candy is spectacular! Tastes just like the real thing!

Now, not that the Disney empire needs more income, but they should really put these out all year long. I found out that the next day they sold out (oh Pooh!), so if you see these, I’d grab a bag or three – you won’t be sorry. Now, who’s gonna make me some lime-flavored Circus Peanuts?

Yay! A fellow lime addict! Lime candies are absolutely the best! I think my current favourite lime is in the sour patch gummies. Really really awesomely lime!

I also love lime. And it makes me very sad that they keep replacing lime with apple. But I despise fake banana flavor, so was never a circus peanuts fan. But maybe I’ll try these for the other flavors.

How many people does it take to get those candy companies to bring back lime? Green Apple is icky! And no wussy lemon-lime either. Bring back lime–here, here!
