That's rare in a world devoid of decent taste. Like you, i also found the same appeal of the original Creme Egg in the orange creme version. Not only are they smaller, but the package of them i got all had a very distinct metalic taste, not sure if that came from the wrapper, and the creme on the inside was dried out and crusty. It was disgusting. I wait all year for THIS! I couldn't even finish it, and my sister was trying another one out of the package and she totally grossed out. I have been let down by my favorite candy.
