When I heard about Gummi Chick -N- Legs Candy, I imagined grossness along the lines of the Gummi Chicken Feet we covered last year, but the picture took my breath away. It’s disgusting. Truth be told, I can’t stand real fried chicken, but this candy just looks nasty.
For 99 cents, you can get a marshmallow and plastic replica of a chicken drumstick. The marshmallow is sprinkled with sugar, and each leg comes individually wrapped in packaging that says “Looks like chicken…but tastes like delicious orange and cream gummi.” Perhaps stranger is the idea, also billed on the packaging, that the plastic bones are collectible. Then again, I suppose anything is collectible if someone wants it to be, but those bones won’t be joining my PEZ dispensers anytime soon.
