A few weeks ago in Clermont, Florida, a family thought they had stumbled on an amazing find. It seems that 13-year-old Anthony took a bite of a smooth and creamy Three Musketeers bar (one of this Candy Addict’s favorites) only to discover a diamond-shaped object in the middle.
Visions of Willy Wonka’s golden ticket danced briefly before the Privitera family’s eyes, but were quickly dashed by a professional jeweler who pronounced their find merely a well-cut piece of glass, worth less than a buck. Had it been a real diamond, it would have been worth about $4,000. There goes the dream of millions of Candy Addicts worldwide – good chocolate secretly combined with expensive jewels. Alas.
Coupons for free chocolate bars? How about, “holy crap, we almost made you swallow a huge chunk of glass, please take this bag of money and don’t sue.”?
