A guy with too much time on his hands (and a mind for adventure) created a group of Dungeons and Dragons style gingerbread characters and a gingerbread castle and the characters go on a quest for “gingerbread treasure.” He has labeled his artwork/story as Return to the Temple of Gingerbread Evil. (In case you are wondering, the “Return” does indicate a prequel, and there actually was a prequel, but it has no good pictures or story with it.)
The characters get attacked by Gummi Bloodsuckers that suck out their “life-icing,” Gummi Bear Cultists, and many more scary treats. See if you can name all of the candies he used in his pictures. The story is a lot of fun, if not a bit silly. Sadly, there are no further adventures of the brave Gingerbread questers due to their untimely, yet delicious, demise.
It’s odd that you should say “a guy with too much time on his hands,” considering that you operate a website about candy…
October 22nd, 2006 at 6:44 pmActually, the “return” is used to mean it’s a follow up post, with pictures. The first post, sans pictures, was just called the Temple of Gingerbread Evil. So, a follow-up post would be, naturally, a return… of sorts. And I know all this, because I took the pictures. And made the little men.
Plus, you links are broken, but if you remove the “archive” dir from the URL, they’ll work.
I think I contributed a picture or something to this site, but I can’t remember it for the life of me. Keep up the good work.
