Shawn Seamons stole candy from a local store when he was a kid. A lot of it. He and his buddies would steal backpacks full of candy at a time. Now, Shawn has grown up and couldn’t live with the guilt any longer. He decided to pay back his debt and presented the store owners with a check for $200 to pay for the stolen candy from his childhood.
We all do dumb things when we’re kids. It’s nice to see someone make amends for his childhood wrongdoings. You gotta respect that.
I love that he did this! Sounds like he got the idea from that “Earl” show on TV. Now, this guy will get a story in People magazine and probably a movie contract.

September 13th, 2006 at 12:11 pmThanks for this article, Brian. Even if the guy profits from his notoriety it gives us a little chance to collectively assuage our childhood guilt.
Maybe there is hope for the world after all.
