If you’ve been reading the site for a while, you know that I love cola-flavored candy and I am nuts about deep-fried Snickers. Now, someone has come up with an idea that combines the best of both of these. At the Texas State Fair (the same state fair that brought about the corn dog), vendor Abel Gonzales Jr. has concocted Deep-Fried Coke.
Gonzales deep-fries Coca-Cola-flavored batter. He then drizzles Coke fountain syrup on it. The fried Coke is topped with whipped cream, cinnamon sugar and a cherry.
Does that sound good or what? Sounds like it’s a Coke-flavored funnel cake. Yum! I hope it reaches the NC State Fair this year. If not, I’ll have to go for the deep-fried 3 Musketeers or maybe the deep-fried Twinkies or Oreos.
Dang it! That wasn’t at my state fair! Not fair, not fair! Ha ha. At least I got to try deep fried Oreo cookies, Twinkies, and Snicker bars last year at my fair.
