Candy Review: Madelaine Chocolate’s Creamy Milk Chocolate Malt Balls

Madelaine Chocolate Malt Balls

Recently I reviewed a bunch of Madelaine Chocolates and noted that I loved malted milk balls but didn’t care for their Mix N Match Malt Balls. So, they sent me a batch of their Creamy Milk Chocolate Malt Balls to try. Three words: Oh My God. These are fabulous. They’re truly gourmet malted milk balls.

With most malted milk balls, the chocolate is inferior quality and just gets in the way of getting to the malted innards. With these, the chocolate is fabulous all on its own and when you suck on them to get rid of the chocolate (as I do sometimes), the chocolate melts easily and tastes wonderful – you almost forget you have a malt ball middle on the way.

The chocolate is tremendous, the malt is perfect. Wow. Great stuff and worthy of our “Awesomely Addictive Candy Award”.

My mother loves malt balls. This would be a great gift for her!
Once she spent ten dollars on a bag of malt balls, tasted one outside the store, then went back in to buy another bag! They WERE great, but I can’t remember the brand…
