Once again I have received another email from a Candy Addict reader trying to find the name of a candy they had as a kid. This one is from Maria:
I remember this double sided lollipop from the early to mid 80′s that came in pastel-ish colors and had triangular-like candy on either end of the stick. They were 2 different flavors. The taste I recall may have been this weird peach – strawberry flavor. I believe one side was pink and peach, the other may have been blue and purple. Possibly a color similar to say necco wafers . I believe the stick was a hollow plastic stick. I bought it from an ice cream truck in L.A. California.I know they existed but can’t think of the name or if the are still made. HELP! It’s been driving me nuts for years.
I have no clue what this candy is/was. Any of you readers recognize it? Leave a comment and let us know!
I don’t know if it is the same candy, or even remember the name, but I think these pops also had cartoony faces or something like that at least on the wrapper, playing on the split flavor/personality of the candy.
July 12th, 2006 at 11:44 amI remember a similar candy from the early eighties. The different colors (pastel) were top/bottom, not side to side and the pop was oval. Also had a hollow white stick. The taste was something like sweetarts. No idea what they were called. No wrappers either, purchased from a big jar. Yummy!!!
August 11th, 2006 at 9:00 amOkay, here’s what I was thinking of. They are called Sweattart Lollies. Go to this link for a picture .
RESPONSE: I love those!

I am trying to find a lollipop that had three flavors on it. They were on a plastic stick, and you could fold the outer lollipops in towards the middle to try all three flavors at the same time. I remember looking for it at local asian food stores with the wrapper, but couldn’t find it anywhere. This was a long time ago, and I no longer have the wrapper or remember anything else about it. Can anyone help?
June 1st, 2007 at 10:07 pmI was talking with a co-worker about candy we purchased as children – both of us remembered a lollipop that was somewhat square with one side being flat and the opposite side being rounded. The only name that kept sticking for me was a Schrafft?? lollipop. In looking on the web, I couldn’t find anything. The manufacturer may have been in Massachusetts.
