I stopped by the local World Market a few days ago and scored some great candy that I have mentioned before. I went there looking for the Nintendo Power Mints I mentioned recently and found those for $2.99. I also picked up some Duff Beer Mints for $1.99. Both mints are peppermint and not really worth noting, but I bought them both for the containers, not for the mints. Maybe I should start collecting cool/interesting mint tins.
I also spotted (and bought) some Cola PEZ refills which David reviewed a while back. I was excited because I had been looking for them for ages. Turns out they aren’t as good as I was hoping. The cola flavor is there, but subtle, and there is a bit too much sodium bicarb in them for my taste. I probably won’t get them again, but I’m glad I finally go to try them.
Anyway, if you ever get a chance to go to a World market, drop in and check out their candy section – it’s awesome!
Wow, those Pez refills sound amazing. I just found your site and wanted to say ‘hi’. As a kid, I was lucky enough to have a father who owned a candy store. Not fancy stuff — candy bars, etc. But a huge selection!
RESPONSE: Cool! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll come back often :)

That Duff beer can is really worth collecting, if I see it I’ll get one. The NES controller one is almost worth getting. But nothing is better then an unusual simpsons product! Thanks Brian.
July 7th, 2006 at 5:35 pmI LOVE the Cost Plus World Market!!! they have hard to find candy. My fave is the Violet Crumble by Cadbury ( I think!) its described as a crunchy honeycomb candy dipped in chocolate, but my boyfriend says it is plain old sponge candy. Whichever it is, it’s AWESOME!!!!
