Masterfoods USA, the parent company of M&Ms, Snickers, Skittles, Dove and many others have recently announced their upcoming product line at the All Candy Expo.
First, and my favorite of the announcement, is that after the huge success they had with the Star Wars branded “Dark Side” M&Ms, they have decided to make Dark Chocolate M&Ms available on a permanent basis. While I am not dark chocolate’s biggest fan, I absolutely loved the Dark Chocolate with Peanut M&Ms when they were out. I have, in fact, already seen these on store shelves, so keep your eyes peeled.
Also announced were:
- Sugar Free Dove Chocolate in Mint, Raspberry & Dark Chocolate
- Dove with Almonds in Milk & Dark Chocolate. While previously available during the holiday season, they are now available year round starting in July.
- Snickers Dark & Snickers Dark with Almonds. Both available only on a limited edition basis.
- Snickers XTreme - Snickers minus the nougat, but with more peanuts, chocolate and caramel in its place.
- Skittles XTreme Fruit Bubble Gum - a new flavor of the recently launched Skittles gum.
- Sour Starburst - the new flavors are Sour Tangerine, Sour Green Apple, Sour Strawberry and Sour Blue Raspberry.
- Starbust Berries & Creme - 4 new flavors added to this already available line. Raspberry and Creme, Blueberry and Creme, Strawberry and Creme, and Mixed Berries and Creme.

I love dark chocolate! I can’t wait to try a dark chocolate Snickers. As of now, Milky Way Midnight is my favorite candy bar, love that dark chocolate. Maybe Snickers dark chocolate will take it’s place?

Kim, The Wal-Mart in Manassas, VA sells Snickers Xtremes right in the checkout aisles - 44 cents and delicious! Maybe your local store has them too.
