This is another Dollar General Store find from a little while back. Before the review, we have to address the name – Chubby. Whose bright idea was it to call a soda Chubby? I can only assume it was named for the cute little Chubby bottle it comes in and not how you look or feel after drinking it.
I picked this up because it said it was Cotton Candy Cream Soda flavor, so I figured I’d try it out. I like Cream Soda – I usually grab an A&W Cream Soda at least once whenever I’m doing travelling across state lines by car. This was bright pink and definitely tasted like cream soda. It also had a secondary flavor that I wouldn’t classify as cotton candy – I thought it was more raspberry-ish. Overall, it wasn’t a great soda, but wasn’t bad.
I drank maybe half of it and shared the rest with my four-year old daughter – she LOVED it and I kept filling the empty Chubby bottle up all day with water for her. At 8.45 ounces, it’s just her size.

I’ve drank chubby soda since I was a little girl!! They come in a lot (and I mean A LOT) of different flavors! It’s great. I’m from the Dominican Republic, where it has been distributed, but I haven’t seen it in awhile… They’re delicious!

There are like 12 flavors including blue berry,cola,cola champane,orange, mango,blue berry,banana,cherry,grape,jelly bean(yes i know),cotton candy and alot more i cant remember now.
i am from jamaica. i grew up drinking chubby. i moved to ny in ’97 and recently found chubby in a local stop&shop. this is cliché becuase “chubby” so as i perceive it is a poor mans drink. So what the hell is it doing in america. i dont mind. i hope whoever makes it either keeps making it, or send more to my local supermarket
