Don’t these look simply wonderful? They look like fossilized dinosaur eggs – what a great photo. They are actually high-quality cocoa beans “covered in layers of the best dark, milk, and white chocolates and velvety cocoa”. They look simply amazing.
One 12oz bag is a whopping $28 (and with shipping it is almost $37) – I wonder if they are worth the cost? Has anyone reading tried them? If so, how are they? I bet they are fantastic. If looks alone could fill your belly, I’d be full already.
UPDATE: I was able to try them and my review has been posted.
OMG, those look incredible.
April 19th, 2006 at 5:59 pmI saw those last week (I’m not sure what site linked to them) and they look phenomenal but I can’t get over the price either. I dunno about that “white chocolate” part though. Only one way to find out!
April 19th, 2006 at 6:20 pmThe inventor is a personal pal. I’ll concede the price can shock, but I’d also ask how much you spent on dessert for four the last time you ventured. There you go. Go for it and rag on if they don’t bowl you over.
April 19th, 2006 at 9:20 pmI’m eating them now. I got them at the farmers market on saturday.
They’re really wonderful. Not too sweet, not too bitter, and most of all, not fruity like a lot of the newer chocolate out there.
Chocolate purity at it’s finest.
RESPONSE: I have some on the way – review to come. :)

I just ordered these and *loved* them.
Also, check out these super dark-chocolate elixirs (drinking chocolates) from a similarly named company, kakawa chocolate house:
