In celebration of National Licorice Day today, I thought I would review the Red Cherry and Pink Strawberry Red Vines I got in the mail from the American Licorice Company.
As I mentioned before, I had never had Red Vines until recently, and when I tried the original Red Vines, they were great. So now, I have tried the Red Cherry and Pink Strawberry flavors and they are both great.
The flavors in both of them are subtle and not overwhelming. You aren’t knocked out by the flavor, it just sits there waiting for you to enjoy it. The Red Vines were very fresh too - nice and soft and chewy. They were wonderful - highly recommended (though my wife didn’t like them - she is a Twizzlers fan all the way).
I think the only flavor of Red Vines I haven’t tried now is their Limited Edition, retro throwback Purple Grape. I’m going to have to try and sink my teeth into some of those - they sound good!
