My recent post about Toffifay and the slogan “Toffifay, it’s too good for kids” got me thinking about other candy slogans so I compiled a list and added a “Random Candy Slogan” thingy over there in the right column to display them all. It will display a new one each time you view a page. Are there any good candy slogans you remember that I missed? I’m sure I missed a bunch. Here are the ones I have so far:

- “Cleans your teeth while it cleans your breath” - Dentyne Gum
- “Double your pleasure, double your fun” - Doublemint Gum
- “Gimme a break” - Kit Kat
- “There’s no wrong way to eat a Reese’s” - Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop” - Tootsie Pop
- “Do you eat the red ones last?” - Smarties (UK)
- “A lighter way to enjoy chocolate” - 3 Musketeers
- “a palatable confection and a most nourishing food.” - Hershey’s Chocolate
- “Get the sensation” - York Peppermint Patty
- “Put a Tic Tac in your mouth and get a bang out of life.” Tic Tacs
- “The great American chocolate bar.” - Hershey’s Chocolate Bar
- “It’s more than a mouthful– it’s Whatchamacallit!”

UPDATE: I just found a bunch more by watching the actual commercials from the 80’s.

I ran across some Switzer licorice at the grocery store yesterday (and got it! Because I’m one of those crazy people that likes black licorice– thought he red is good, too, and I recommend that you review it.)

You’ve got the Reese’s one there twice. Also, I love that old Hershey’s slogan. Most invigorating!
