Man, I’m late to the discussion, but I just had to comment ‘cos I just found a large quantity of Toffifee – apparently the Canadian/European spelling – in an Aldi’s in Indianapolis. I flargin’ love these things, and have since I was probably in single digits. They were a standard stocking stuffer for me growing up, and I hope Aldi’s decides to keep carrying them.

I am also eating them now. I have a box of 15 pieces which half are gone. My kids love them too. My son just said that they are little cups of delight. Hes 10. lol. They are my most favorite candy. Great combination. Brooks drugstores which was just taken over by Rite aid has them but I think walgreens has them too. And stop and shop . its good to know they are still around!

They still sell these here in Canada! I think they come in 24-packs and are called “Toffifee”. If you would like some I could try and check the avaliability for you. :)

They sell these at the Dollar Store here, as well. The 15-piece box is only a buck, so you can’t really go wrong. I ate the mess outta these when I was a kid – basically from the time they came out. Now a few decades later, I remember them tasting a bit different, but doesn’t everything seem different between childhood and adulthood? In any case, they’re still fantastic. :)

I love these and remember them as a kid also! whenever I find them I buy them… Walmart sells them in a big box on the candy aisle.

I’d been thinking of Toffifay recently and came across some today at a drug store. And I’m wondering if any of you have noticed that the Toffifay of today doesn’t have that same flavor-of-1977 that I remember.

The caramel cup still falls in the Werther’s Originals camp, but the inside nougat seems to have been replaced by a Perugina Baci: tastes like a recipe update. A large part of the fun of retro candy is remembering how things used to be.

And what about the box and font – don’t they look a little tweaked too?

I’m eating some right now. :9 They have the 15-piece box at the dollar store so I stocked up! $1 is cheaper than Wal*Mart. XD
How do you guys eat them? I like to eat them upside-down, letting the rich chocolate melt on my tongue, then the chocolate hazelnut filling, and lastly I eat the hazelnut and the goofy caramel that doesn’t seem like it should be edible. XD
I also didn’t realize the shiny gold plastic tray was designed to be useful… I usually just pop the Toffifays out from underneath. XD
