Check out this awesome retro candy ad for housewives I found on Flickr. Here is the text as best I can read:
“The Crave For Candy” is a call for energy.
You’ve steered a broom. You’ve swung an iron. You’ve done your duty by the dishes.
When you stop for a bit of recess, doesn’t your taster say, “Wish there were some candy in the house!”
Housework – any work – uses energy. The body wants it back. Candy is an excellent way to put it back.
