I think the word 'whizzing' alludes to something...slightly non-appetizing.

Yeah they're called Fizzing Whizbees for a reason. Fizzing Whizbees are one of the many popular magical candies in the Harry Potter books. Therefore Whizzing Fizzbees may sound cool but wouldn't tap into the profit generated by all of us HP fanboys and girls. Chocolate Frogs are another example of Harry Potter Candy along with Acid Pops and Ice Mice.

I 3> HP!!!!!!!!

[...] The Candy Addict blog has another review of Harry Potter-inspired candy, this time Fizzing Whizbees. They sound right up my alley. They are exactly like Pop Rocks. I was looking forward to a cool new fizzing, popping candy and got Pop Rocks. Not that I don’t like Pop Rocks, I do - I was just hoping for something new and different. I was also thinking….they could have called these Whizzing Fizzbees instead - that’s a cool name too….or even just Pop Rocks. [...]

If it makes you feel any better, I don't think you can get regular pop rocks in orange anymore. I just see them in strawberry and green apple around here.
